Value-add Applied Learning™

Making Organisational Change Stick

If you’re looking to fundamentally transform the way your team, group, department or organisation work, you may be interested in our pioneering training concept, Value-add Applied Learning™ (VAL).

What is Applied Learning?

Practicing free kicks

Applied Learning is a unique method that gradually integrates knowledge and wisdom into individuals, providing the opportunity for fundamental change. In short, it is the equivalent of a 3-day training course delivered by experienced coaches spread across 3 month timeboxes to allow concepts to be introduced, reflected upon and reinforced one at a time.

Which is going to afford your child the best possibility to embed their learning: David Beckham coaching your child to free-kick over just 3 days, or David Beckham coaching your child to free-kick over 3 months?

What is Value-add?

Value-add is the pioneering process we use to train individuals while providing value to the organisation. In concert with your needs, we deliver the educational concepts while also providing value on a real project. No more boring, ineffective training courses that take you away from your job and provide little or no real value!

Our executive summary paper entitled “Organisational Change: There’s a Better Way” further describes the VAL approach:

One example of where we’ve delivered Value-add Applied Training™ (VAL) is within a global asset management company. The organisation had made a strategic decision to introduce a new way of working that required a profound shift in both the mindset and behaviour of employees.

This case study looks at how VAL helped them to successfully tackle this large challenge – how the new process itself was used as an educational tool that also provided real value and why new ideas must be introduced over time, using a learning strategy such as VAL, if they are to take hold.
